We've been busy with other things, leading to the neglecting of our baby, this blog.
Well, to make up for it, here's some of the songs I listened to while on holiday.
First there's Akron/Family with "They will appear" (hilarious setting btw)
Second is King Soly with the fab track "Wicked king of Persia"
Last but not least, High Places(a new favourite of mine) with "Shared islands"
Peace and love to all,

Voici Slow Club Rebekkas newest discovery. The folk duo is not only super-adorable(and yes, total Musical Virgin-lookalikes!), their songs are sweet as sugar as well.
The two brits are Rebecca(Yeah, best name ever!) and Charles from Sheffield.
Worth a listen or 40 :)

Have anyone of you ever heard about Koop?
Anyways, Koop is a Swedish duo playing a kinda blues-ish music. Their music sounds like there is a huge band playing, but it is actually just these two men, Oscar and Magnus, play it all by themselves. There are thousands of small sound clips put together. That takes a long time, which exlplains why they release new albums so seldom.
This song, Koop Islands Blues is very soft, relaxed, laidback and cool. The beautiful Norwegian vocalist Ane Brun is singing. Close your eyes, and let Koop's magical music move you.

Sorry for not being here these last weeks, but bith Reb and I have been busybees. Now, we're planning to start again, with new inspo and music!
Yesterday, I started listening to an Icelandic band called Gus Gus. To most people they are unknown. Gus Gus plays that kind of music with heavy beats and shakeable rythms. Their songs are perfect for nightclubbing - I can imagine their beats boom in a dark underground party in Paris with loads o' hipstuhrs. haha.
I will recommend songs like Porn, Believe, Northern Lights, Purple and Anthem.
Anyways, check them out!

The Norwegain contribute for this year's ESC is some of the biggest favs for the big final tomorrow. Alexander Rybak is originally from Belarus, but since the age of four, he has lived in Norway. "Fairytale" has been a big hit in Norway, and in many other countries Europe over. This is a mix between Norwegian folk music and mainstream pop. Honestly, I'm all tired of this song, but I feel that I have to be a little solidaric to Norway. Listen, listen, listen, and get tired:

Shock rocker and antichrist superstar Marilyn Manson caught my attention this weekend in my boredom. When I am bored I use to check out new bands and artists, just to have something to do.
Spotify is a good thing! Just type: "Marilyn Manson", and all his hits and songs pop up! I would say that my fav is "This is Halloween" and "This is the new shit". He's not actually a good singer, but his music and songs are catchy with humorous lyrics and cool beats.
His image can scare small children and over christian grandmas, but I find it so cool that I just love what I see.

Yesterday, I discovered a new band called Katzenjammer. They are from Norway (of course), and play a good mixture of folk, pop, rock, country and even balkan music. This music is s bit different from what usually is played on my iPod, but this is very good!
The band consists of four girls from Oslo who play mandolin, flute, bass balalaika, ukele, accordion etc, etc.

The American Band Queens of the Stone Age (QOTSA) with their great song, No one knows Live! This song is marvellous, and after they visited Norway approximately one year ago, they caught my interest. And just listen to Josh Homme's magical solo. This performance is pure love to us. To top this all up, he says: "Thank you so much, Reading! I hope you all get laid tonight!"
